Embracing new technologies upon completing his law studies in 2008, Antoine Verdon founded several companies centered around digitalization and its impact on the business models of traditional enterprises.
Antoine is the Executive Director of BlockFactory SA, a company based in the heart of Zug's "Crypto Valley" that has become one of the leading software development service providers in the blockchain sector. He is also a co-founder of Proxeus, an open-source framework for digitizing, registering, storing, and managing assets—dubbed the "WordPress for blockchain"—which raised $25 million USD via an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) in February 2018.
In 2016, he co-founded the Swiss LegalTech Association, bringing together lawyers and developers committed to digitalizing legal professions. The Swiss Legal Tech Conference, first held in 2017, shaped the Swiss scene by gathering 700 participants for a two-day hackathon in Zurich.
Between 2013 and 2015, Antoine developed and managed one of Switzerland's first venture capital vehicles dedicated exclusively to FinTech and blockchain. Antoine has worked with UBS and Lombard Odier as a strategic advisor to executive boards and leadership teams of several Swiss banks on FinTech and blockchain matters.
In 2008, he co-founded Sandbox, one of the foremost global communities of entrepreneurs under 30, spanning over 100 countries. Passionate about politics, he was elected to the parliament of his hometown, Lausanne, at age 20—making him the youngest member ever elected. In 2005, he co-authored a book on global challenges alongside several world leaders, including HRH The Prince of Wales.
