At the age of 14, when he lost his sight following bilateral retinal cancer, Thibault Trancart had to face a brand new life. Refusing to be treated as disabled, he was determined to live normally with his difference and fight to accomplish his goals.

This journey began with graduating from the International School of Geneva in 2011. Just before his graduation, he had to undergo major surgery for a brain tumor. Despite this ordeal and ongoing health challenges, Thibault Trancart remained steadfast and flew to Canada to earn a Bachelor of Commerce in Management from McGill University in Montreal. At this university, blind and visually impaired individuals are fully integrated and supported by professors and tutors, enabling him to succeed and become the first blind graduate of this faculty. A true success story!

But Thibault Trancart did not stop there! A passionate skiing enthusiast, he became totally blind in 2006 and had to learn to perceive the sensations of skiing through his other senses. Driven by boundless motivation, his father trained to become his guide and continually pushed him to excel. His goal: competing in the 2018 Paralympic Winter Games in Korea.
