He was one of the leaders in the ORMA 60 multihull rankings. Deemed too costly and unreliable, this class evolved into the MOD70 under Stève Ravussin's leadership.

Charismatic and driven by records and speed, he is constantly on the hunt for new high-speed challenges. He gave up paragliding and motocross to dedicate himself entirely to sailing, spending years honing his skills on Lake Geneva before feeling the call of the open ocean. His drive for success led him to victory in the Route du Rhum in 1998 aboard a powerful multihull. Partnered with Franck Cammas, he won the ORMA Class twice in the Transat Jacques Vabre.
