Always on skis, he made his World Cup debut in 2005. That same year, in Val d’Isère, he earned his first World Cup points. He broke into the world’s top 10 five years later in Italy and confirmed this feat three months later in Norway by taking sixth place.
As in most athletic careers, he faced a challenging period that he overcame, bouncing back during the 2014–15 season to finish second in the World Cup in Lake Louise, and third in Kitzbühel, the Mecca of downhill skiing. That season, he demonstrated remarkable consistency and finished the season ranked 3rd overall in the downhill discipline.Languages spoken by the speaker
