Fresh with a degree in Arts, François Egger began his journalism career in the Geneva newsroom of Radio Lac/Radio Suisse Romande. After a year working as a freelancer in Auckland (New Zealand) covering the victory of the Swiss challenger Alinghi in the America’s Cup, he joined RTS in 2004.
He initially worked in the Vaud and Geneva newsrooms for the three news editions: 12:45, Journal des Régions, and 19:30. In 2009, he joined the team of Couleurs Locales and took part in launching RTS's new regional news programme broadcast during access prime time at 19:00.
For over 10 years now, he has been hired by diverse companies such as AXA Winterthur, Induni, Banque Crédit Agricole Financement, Banque Mirabaud, Collège Champittet, and Grand Chelem Management for his skills as a journalist-moderator.
