After several seasons with his family and at Ski-Club Champex-Ferret, it was during his first ski race, on his 5th birthday (the Erika Hess Open in La Fouly), that everything clicked! He went on to join Swiss-Ski and scored his first European Cup points. He made his World Cup debut at the legendary Kitzbühel slalom. Following this promising season, he was promoted to the WC3 Future group under coach Didier Plaschy. A season without major breakthroughs followed, yet it was still successful. Daniel took part in several World Cup races, achieved his first top 10 in the European Cup, and racked up victories on the FIS circuit. He then joined the WC3 group, reuniting with his former coach, Steve Locher. During the 2013-14 season, Daniel achieved excellent results with his first World Cup points in Bormio, a 7th place finish at the Kitzbühel slalom, competed in the Sochi Olympic Games, and finished as the overall winner of the European Cup slalom standings.

A key member of the national team, Daniel entered the 2016/2017 season aiming to maintain his spot in the World Cup slalom top group (top 15) and pursue a podium finish at the World Championships in St Moritz.Languages spoken by the speaker
