Emilie Barrucand is a committed anthropologist, expert in environmental and social impact, and a global authority on indigenous peoples and local communities. With over 23 years of experience, she has led numerous projects across the Amazon, India, and Africa, living for months at a time in remote rainforest villages to co-create sustainable development solutions.

She advises international NGOs, indigenous organizations, development banks, and institutions such as the UN, French ministries, G20, and AFD. Emilie also supports responsible corporations and impact funds (such as Eurazéo and the Moringa Fund) in designing ESG strategies that are inclusive, regenerative, and respectful of cultural heritage and ecosystems.

She is the founder of the NGO Wayanga, which protects indigenous cultures and forests, and the French ambassador of BelieveEarth, a global movement for environmental protection and positive change.
